The car screams through the night. Dark, wet streets blaze
with neon lights flashing off the side of the car. A "Bar
Open" sign flashes off the window.
P.O.V. OVER CAR SEEING FRONT TO BACK — CONTINUOUS
A green street light flashes from the hood to the trunk on
the car’s dark paint. The car accelerates.
INT. CAR AS IT RACES THROUGH DOWN TOWN — CONTINUOUS
Jane’s eyes are wild and she howls with joy.
JANE
Wooooooooooo hoooooooooo.
DICK
Jesus Jane, traffic.
Jane fumbles with the CD button, hits start, and spins up the
volume dial. Pounding music explodes from the speakers.
Jane slurs the words.
P.O.V. OVER CAR SEEING FRONT TO BACK — CONTINUOUS
A green street light looms ahead. Before the car reaches it,
the light changes to a yellow that flashes from the nose over
the top to the back of the car.
At the next intersection, the red light is already ablaze.
Jane blows through the intersection.
The red light flashes along the same path on the car, as the
green and yellow lights.
Instantly, blue and red flashing lights strobe back behind
the racing vehicle. The cop gains speed and the police
lights march up the back of the car until they flash in her
mirror.
INT. BMW — AS IT RACES THROUGH DOWN TOWN — CONTINUOUS
Jane sees flashing police lights as the sirens get louder
than the thundering music.
JANE (DETERMINED AND PISSED)
Fuuuucccckkkk Meeeeeeeeeee!
DICK
God damn-it, STOP!
JANE (WITH GREAT DETERMINATION)
Fuck Me: TWICE!
EXT. CAR CHASE IN STREETS OF TOWN — CONTINUOUS
Jane speeds into the night, tires squealing and loving every
second of the chase. Police cars join the fray. The BMW
screeches into an alley. The police car locks up his breaks
and slides past the turn. Jane races a serpentine path
through back streets until the car whips into a huge used car
lot. Switching all lights off, Jane brings the car to a
crawl, hunting for a hiding spot.

So Foolish and Childish she is behaving like a maniac. Great work for stirring up my emotion this way. You described the chase scene so well, I feel as though I’m seeing the whole scenario in the big screen.
tashabuds last blog post..A Call From Kosovo
Thanks for the comment Tasha, this one came to my writing muse as a pretty much complete vision. I haven’t been in a car chase before, but I hope I remember how to hide if it ever happens. I am glad you could see she is nuts, you would not believe the number of readers I have had who told me, “I know a woman just like Jane.” That freaked me out. Let’s hope it gets to the big screen so you can SEE how it plays out.
