Zorlone – “Freedom once again” – Initially consisting only four stanzas, this poem is about a little bird looking for freedom. The fifth stanza was added a few days after it was published. “There are different forms of freedom. Sometimes, the unexpected is what we are looking for.”

Carl wanders over to Dick who is at the grill. Dick looks
over at Jane and gets her attention. He looks at his watch
and pretends to hold a fork and eat. Jane shakes her head
no and looks at the parking lot again.

Dick takes a burger to Susan, who openly flirts.

Jane moves past Carl with a sneer.
