Scene 40 – Intervention – A Serial Suspense Screenplay

EXT. DICK AND JANE'S DRIVE WAY -- MOMENTS LATER
The black car of the Senator pulls into the drive.
INT. DICK AND JANE'S KITCHEN -- MOMENTS LATER
Jane is distracted. She spots Dick at the door.
JANE
Come on Baby, faster, harder.
EXT. DICK AND JANE'S KITCHEN DOOR -- MOMENTS LATER
Dick hears the sound of the car in the driveway. He looks
at it. Senator Stewart steps out.
DICK
Oh fuck.
INT. DICK AND JANE'S KITCHEN -- MOMENTS LATER
Carl's eyes are glazed. He is collapses on Jane over the
sink.
The door creaks open. Jane pushes Carl off her,
straightens her skirt, turns and kisses Carl lightly.
JANE
Thanks Carl, you don't know how
much good that did me.
CARL
Did you, I mean, was it good?
JANE
It achieved my purpose.
With no shame, Jane puts her thong back on like she is
getting dressed alone.
JANE (CONT'D)
I hope Susan and Dick never find
out. Don't you, Baby?
Carl bolts for the bathroom, shorts at his knees.
EXT. THE DOOR TO THE YARD OFF THE KITCHEN -- MOMENTS LATER
Jane heads out the door, she passes Dick with a smile.
Dick stands back from the door and watches confused, as
Jane breezes past and toward the Senator's car.
INT. KITCHEN -- MOMENTS LATER
Dick finds two scotch glasses on the counter. One with
Jane's lipstick. He, grabs the scotch glass with ice and
heads out the door toward Jane.
DICK
(to himself) That's fucking it.

Hm…. I wonder wha Dick’s comment meant. Can’t wait to know more. I smell something and it doesn’t smell good. Hee, hee.
