               INT. UPSTAIRS -- MOMENTS LATER

                                   JANE
                         MY BABY, MY BABY, MY BABY.

               Two cops rush past Sara's room's open door.

               INT. MASTER BED ROOM -- MOMENTS LATER

               Guns drawn, cops burst into the bathroom.  Dick holds Sara
               closely.  The cop tries to control the situation.

                                   FEMALE COP
                         Hand her over.  Don't hurt her.

               She points gun a bit away from Dick, who is freaked.

                                   DICK
                         I didn't do anything; it's all
                         Jane.

                                   WOMAN COP
                         Sure, no problem.  We will sort
                         it all out; just give me the kid.
                         You OK Sweet girl?

                                   DICK
                         You don't understand; I didn't do
                         anything; it was all HER.

               The cop menaces him with gun.

                                   WOMAN COP
                         I'm listening.  But I have to get
                         the girl first; don't make me
                         hurt you in front of her.

               Dick is totally overwhelmed.

                                   DICK
                         If I give her to you, will you
                         listen?

                                   FEMALE COP
                         Sure, just give her to me.

               Dick hands Sara over and the Female Cop sweeps her from the
               room, into the arms of another cop.  Sara screams.

                                   SARA
                         Daddy!

               In a flash, the Female Cop is on Dick like a mad woman.

                                   FEMALE COP
                         BLAME HER?  You little fuck!

               She cuffs Dick hard and slams his head into the tile.  Dick
               screams in pain.

               Another cop pulls her off the crouched and beaten Dick, who
               has done nothing to fight back.  The woman cop is pushed
               out the door.  A male cop drags Dick out of the bathroom
               through the bedroom to the stairs.

               Jane is downstairs, hysterical, clutching a whimpering
               Sara.  Jane sees Dick and screams again, fleeing behind a
               cop.  The cop HELPS Dick fall down the stairs.  The other
               cops watch.

               EXT. DICK AND JANE'S DRIVEWAY -- NIGHT

               Alex's car races up the street as the last police car pulls
               away.  Alex pulls in the drive and she gets out.  She walks
               up to the front door and peeks in the window.  She rages.
