When you participate in the PlotDog Press’ WOOF (Writer’s Offering Our Finest) Contest, we link your blog to what we think are some of the most interesting writing blogs and emerging writers online.
Use the form above to submit a link to your blog post for the next WOOF. There are no restrictions other than it be writing related, contain no strong adult content, and has been published on your blog within two weeks of the entry deadline for that week's WOOF.
WOOF participants vote on the top five posts. ALL participants MUST repost the top 5 WOOF links as published here within a week of publication to guarantee your inclusion and support the cause.
To participate you submit your post to the WOOF site by Friday NOON EST. If it meets WOOF’s criteria, your link goes up in the new WOOF edition on Monday. All participants repost at least the top WOOF links on their blogs by the close of the next weekend. Criteria may be changed without notice to advance the success of the competition.
The entries are not pre-judged by us. This is a writer’s and reader’s vote. As long as your blog post qualifies, it will be included in the competition.
Surprise us with the creative nature of your entries. Articles about writing and the craft of writing, reviews of writing software, poems, short stories, chapters, scenes, graphic novel excerpts, pictures of writing implements or related to writing...as long as it’s about writing or a piece of creative writing, and was posted on your site within a week of the WOOF deadline it qualifies.
The top 5 posts with the most votes (including the editor's) get above the fold.
If you submitted your post and you were not listed, Let us know ASAP and we’ll fix it.
If you submitted your post and don't get an email to vote by Saturday AM please let us know ASAP.
Subscribe to the WOOF RSS feed for information on new posts, winners, and when the next WOOF goes online.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can submit an entry/who qualifies to participate?
Writing blogs that meet the following criteria can participate:
How do I join the WOOF?
To participate in WOOF, you need to submit a link to your favorite post for the previous 2 weeks. Send us your permalink, the URL to the specific post you’re submitting, not a link to your main page. We won’t go through your blog to look for posts.
The submission deadline is NOON EST each Friday. If you’re late, you’re submission will be included the next week.
You can submit for the next week’s WOOF as soon as submissions for the current one closes on Friday.
On Friday, you will get an email with links to posts you can “vote” on.
On Monday when the WOOF is posted, repost the top links or all the links on your blog.
You are required to post everything above the line: “WOOF participants should re-post all the links above by next Monday.”
Check back over the week for any last-minute updates.
Only WOOF participants can vote. On Friday all WOOF participants will be emailed a draft of the links for the upcoming WOOF post. Look over the draft and send us back your choices for the top three spots by Monday 8am.
What happens if I don’t post the links by the end of next Monday?
If you don’t post the agreed upon links by the following Monday, your link gets taken down and other participants are requested to update the WOOF post to take down the misbehaving poster.
If you can’t get the links up in time, email us and we’ll accept a late posting. If you don’t post you can’t play again.
You can link WOOF to your blogroll but you still must repost WOOF in a post. It must end up on your primary RSS feed.
